Respekt & Umgangsformen

• Brazilians are warm: a kiss on the cheek is a common greeting.
• Don't show expensive phones, jewellery or cameras in the street.
• A 10% service charge is often added in restaurants.
• The "OK" hand sign is rude in Brazil: use a thumbs-up instead.
• Portuguese, not Spanish: a few words of Portuguese are appreciated.
• Use official taxis or ride apps, especially at night.
