• Tap water is safe to drink. Bring a refillable bottle.
• Take the train or bus between Lisbon, Porto and the Algarve.
• Use trams and the metro in Lisbon and Porto.
• Stay on marked trails on the cliffs: erosion is real.
• Don't leave rubbish on the beaches and use the recycling bins (ecopontos).
• Water can be scarce in summer in the south: use it wisely.
