Respect & manners
- Belgium has three languages: Dutch in Flanders, French in Wallonia, both in Brussels (and German in the east). Greet in the local one, or in English.
- One kiss on the cheek is a common greeting among friends.
- Tipping is not required: service is included. Rounding up is a nice extra.
- Belgian beers are strong: take your time.
- Card payment is common, but some small places prefer cash.
