Travelling with pets

• Dogs and cats over 3 months need a valid rabies vaccination certificate; extra rules apply to dogs coming from countries at high risk for rabies.
• Airlines have their own rules (cabin pets usually under about 8 kg with the bag, snub-nosed breeds often refused in the hold): book your pet's place early.
• Check the rules to come back home too: they can be stricter than for leaving.
