Health & vaccines

No vaccine is required to enter: just make sure your routine vaccines are up to date.
Tap water is safe in Santiago and big cities (but very mineral). In remote areas, drink bottled water.
The sun is very strong, especially in the Atacama and Patagonia: hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.
The Atacama altiplano is very high: go up slowly.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
