Respect & manners
- A Georgian feast (supra) has a toastmaster (tamada): drink when he toasts, not before.
- Cover shoulders and knees in churches and monasteries. Women cover their hair in churches (scarves are often lent).
- Tipping: about 10% in restaurants (sometimes already on the bill).
- Drive carefully: mountain roads and local driving can be wild.
- Georgians are proud of their language and alphabet: a few words please everyone.
