Health & vaccines

• No vaccine is required to enter: just make sure your routine vaccines are up to date. See a travel clinic 4 to 6 weeks before you leave: some vaccines are often recommended.
• Don't drink tap water: drink bottled or filtered water, and avoid ice of unknown origin.
• Air pollution is very high in Ulaanbaatar in winter.
• Rabies exists: avoid stray dogs, cats and monkeys. If bitten or scratched, see a doctor the same day.
• Travel insurance with medical evacuation is essential.
