Respect & manners
- Apply for your ETA (electronic travel authorisation) only on the official website.
- Take off shoes and hats in temples, and cover shoulders and knees.
- Never pose with your back to a Buddha statue, and never touch it. Buddha tattoos can lead to refused entry.
- Use your right hand to eat, give and receive.
- Ask before taking photos of people and monks.
- Drive on the left. Roads are busy: a driver is often safer.
