• A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required if you arrive from a country at risk: check the official rules.
• See a travel clinic 4 to 6 weeks before you leave: some vaccines are often recommended.
• Don't drink tap water: drink bottled or filtered water, and avoid ice of unknown origin.
• Dengue is common: use mosquito repellent.
• Rabies exists: avoid stray dogs.
• Typhoon season is roughly June to November: follow PAGASA alerts.
