Respect & manners

• Ireland is not in the Schengen area: check your entry rules separately.
• Cars drive on the left: look right first when you cross.
• In pubs, people often buy drinks in "rounds": join in or politely pass.
• Tipping: about 10–12.5% in restaurants if service is not included. Not expected in pubs.
• Irish and British are different: don't call Irish people British.
• Be polite and chatty: small talk is part of life.
