Respect & manners

• Dress modestly, especially outside tourist areas: shoulders and knees covered.
• Non-Muslims cannot enter most mosques (Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is open for guided visits).
• Use your right hand to eat and to greet.
• Ask before taking photos of people. Some will ask for a small tip.
• Bargaining is normal in souks: smile, take your time.
• During Ramadan, avoid eating, drinking or smoking in public during the day.
