Legal, conservative climate
- Same-sex relations are legal, but same-sex couples have no legal recognition.
- Any public expression is impossible: stay very discreet.
- Society can be conservative: stay discreet with public displays of affection, as everyone is advised to.
- Trans and non-binary travellers: the gender marker on your passport is what counts at border checks; carry supporting documents if your appearance has changed.
- If you face discrimination, threats or arrest, contact your embassy right away.
These rules change and depend on your situation: always check with the official sources and your embassy before you leave. GoZzzy gives general information and cannot be held responsible.
