Respect & manners

• Cross the street slowly and steadily: scooters will go around you. Don't run.
• Dress modestly in temples and pagodas: shoulders and knees covered.
• Use both hands to give or receive something from an older person.
• Keep calm in discussions: losing your temper makes you lose face.
• Bargaining is normal in markets, with a smile.
• Don't ride a scooter without a valid licence and a helmet: insurance won't cover you.
