Respect & manners

• Queue patiently: jumping the queue is a big no.
• Say "please", "thank you" and "sorry" a lot: it is part of daily life.
• Stand on the right on escalators, especially in the London Underground.
• Tipping: about 10–12.5% in restaurants if service is not included. Not expected in pubs.
• In pubs, order and pay at the bar.
• You need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) to visit if you do not need a visa: check before you go.
