Health & vaccines

• No vaccine is required, except a yellow fever certificate if you arrive from a country at risk of yellow fever.
• See a travel clinic 4 to 6 weeks before you leave: some vaccines are often recommended.
• Don't drink tap water: drink bottled or filtered water.
• Dengue is present: use mosquito repellent, day and night.
• Rabies exists: stay away from stray dogs, cats and monkeys. If you are bitten or scratched, see a doctor the same day.
• Private hospitals are very good but expensive: travel insurance is strongly recommended.
