Health & vaccines

• No vaccine is required to enter: just make sure your routine vaccines are up to date. See a travel clinic 4 to 6 weeks before you leave if you plan rural trips.
• Don't drink tap water: drink bottled or filtered water, and avoid ice of unknown origin.
• Dengue is present: use mosquito repellent.
• Mexico City is at high altitude (2,240 m): take it easy the first day.
• Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
