Health & vaccines
- A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required if you arrive from a country at risk: check the official rules.
- See a travel clinic 4 to 6 weeks before you leave: some vaccines are often recommended.
- Don't drink tap water: drink bottled or filtered water, and avoid ice of unknown origin.
- Dengue is present: use mosquito repellent, day and night.
- Rabies exists, including in Bali: avoid dogs and monkeys. If bitten or scratched, see a doctor the same day.
- Methanol poisoning has happened with cheap or homemade alcohol: drink only sealed, branded drinks.
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
